Presbyopia refers to the gradual decline in the eye's ability to focus on close objects and is a natural part of the aging process, typically starting around the age of 40. The onset of presbyopia is often identified when a person has difficulty reading up close due to blurred vision.
Some symptoms of age-related macular degeneration include sudden appearance of numerous floaters in the visual field, sudden eye pain, redness and nausea, double vision and a faded image, sudden blind spot in one eye, narrowing of the visual field, poor night vision or halos around lights.
